THE LAST BUS
We set out to create a fan-following for Zambrero burritos across regional Australia.
And with a simple love story, it seems we did.
Our fresh approach achieved record sales per-store and outperformed all competitors on dollar-for-dollar campaign metrics.
Our TV spot played on tropes from romantic feature films, demonstrating that the love for a Zam burrito is unbreakable.
While we deployed some traditional campaign assets, our core idea to drive engagement, was to have fun doubling-down on the cinematic drama of our TV script.
We gave 'Last bus' its own movie poster to go in-store and in close proximity to restaurants, and created fun critic reviews for it on social. We even devised an in-store promotion that gamified our ad, rewarding fans who could recall tricky details with instant prizes.
Sometimes all it takes is one dramatic burrito to drive dramatic results.
